Brief Description of Tour

Blue Ridge Explorers is a hiking club designed for curious, energetic kids ages 8–11 who are ready to hit the trail, make new friends, and connect with nature. Each child must be accompanied by an adult participant who joins them on the adventure. Led by experienced outdoor educators and naturalist guides, this program offers hands-on adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains that foster confidence, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors. Each outing features a kid-friendly hike (3–6 miles), nature games, wildlife observation, and environmental education. From spotting salamanders to learning map reading, children leave each hike inspired and eager for more. Our program develops trail skills, independence, and a sense of comfort in nature through safe and supportive adventures. Every hike combines play with learning, teaching children about local ecology, Leave No Trace principles, and basic navigation. This screen-free experience enables kids to unplug and genuinely connect with nature and one another. Your children will learn from guides who are both hiking experts and trained educators skilled at bringing the outdoors to life. In our summer club, kids explore with peers in a positive, team-focused setting that builds social skills and self-esteem, creating lasting memories and friendships along the way.
