Meet Your Guide

Hi there! I’m Eli, and this is my third year leading these hiking club adventures. I created this club to provide organized, accessible outdoor adventures in Asheville that you can easily hop onto! As a professional guide, I see firsthand how many people want to spend time in nature but get bogged down by the planning process or the hesitation of going alone. If you are one of those people, I promise this is the best Asheville-based outdoor activity for you. You can come alone or bring your favorite people; the dates and locations are already figured out for you. What is truly special about this club is our partnership with local Western North Carolina conservation non-profits. $10 of your pass is a direct donation to these organizations, so we are giving back to the land we're enjoying.
Think of me as your "trail bestie" taking you to my favorite spots in the legendary Blue Ridge Mountains and the Pisgah National Forest.
I’m a deep lover of nature now, but I didn't actually grow up spending time outdoors. I only became familiar with these local waterfalls and trails because someone else took the time to show me. While I’m not a thru-hiker, I’ve spent the last five years deeply immersed in this specific terrain—clocking over 520 days "on dirt" learning these forests. Can't wait to hit the trail with you!
This is in Partnership with:
Asheville's original premier guide service. This gives us access to special use permits for trails in Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other protected areas. When you hike with us, you support local guides, small businesses, and conservation partners protecting Western North Carolina's wild spaces.
Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins
Our official meeting hub. We gather at Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins to organize carpools and check in before heading to the trailhead. This location offers space for light carpooling, helping us minimize our footprint at local trailheads. We’ve partnered with them because their focus on the outdoors aligns with our mission. Before or after our hikes, you can visit their Canteen to stock up on water and snacks, browse gifts for nature lovers, or grab a drink with the group once we’re off the trail.
