Cancellation Policy

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS Lost Terrain is an adventure marketplace. We facilitate your booking; Chilco Bike Expeditions independently operates this adventure and is responsible for guiding, itinerary, accommodations and included services, participant requirements, and on-trip safety decisions. By booking, you agree to these terms and Chilco’s policies summarized below. Cancellations: More than 90 days before departure, your deposit is non-refundable and additional payments will be refunded. Between 90–30 days, 50% of the total trip price is payable. Less than 30 days before departure, no refund is available. Certain supplier costs may be non-refundable regardless of cancellation date. No refunds are provided for late arrival, no-shows, leaving early, or unused services. Transfers: You may request to transfer your booking to another eligible traveler at least 14 days before departure. Chilco must approve the transfer, and additional fees may apply. Trip Changes: Routes, schedules, accommodations, riding distances, and activities may change due to weather, wildfires, volcanic activity, road closures, safety concerns, or other circumstances. Chilco makes final operational and safety decisions. If Chilco cancels the trip, you may receive a transfer or refund of payments made for the tour according to Chilco’s terms. Independently booked flights, hotels, insurance, visas, rentals, and other travel costs are not included. Insurance & Responsibility: Travel insurance is strongly recommended, including medical and evacuation coverage and coverage for multi-day gravel cycling in Chile. Adventure travel involves inherent risks. You are responsible for your fitness and medical readiness, required equipment, travel documents, and following guide instructions. A helmet is required while riding. Unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in removal without refund. Lost Terrain’s Role: Lost Terrain assists with booking, cancellations, transfers, and communication with Chilco but does not operate the adventure. Chilco is an independent operator responsible for delivering the trip. Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. By booking, you acknowledge these terms and accept the risks, responsibilities, cancellation policies, and operator requirements described above.
