In partnership with Blue Ridge Hiking Company and Appalachian Mountain Brewery (AMB), Lost Terrain Tours invites both locals and visitors to join an unforgettable hiking series celebrating the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Meeting on the fourth Saturday of each month, the Hiking Club offers the perfect escape to unwind, meet new people, and deepen your connection to nature. A trained Appalachian naturalist guides each hike, sharing stories, ecology, and local insights that bring the trail to life. These beginner-friendly hikes cover four to five miles at a relaxed, welcoming pace suitable for most fitness levels. We welcome friendly, leashed dogs, making this a truly inclusive outing for the whole family—four-legged members included. Each adventure begins with a warm welcome and brief trail overview before we set out to explore scenic paths through old-growth forests, rhododendron tunnels, and breathtaking ridgeline views. Your guide will unveil the fascinating world of Appalachian plants, wildlife, geology, and conservation—weaving together education and storytelling in an engaging, accessible way. Whether you're asking questions or simply taking it all in, every step offers a chance to connect with the natural world. After the hike, we gather at Appalachian Mountain Brewery to toast the day with a fresh pint—included with your ticket for those 21 and over.
