Overview

This tour offers is the best way to experience the Pisgah National Forest by providing round-trip transportation from downtown Asheville to the trailhead/s. Over the course of 4 to 5 hours, you will hike 2 to 4 miles of easy-to-moderate terrain to visit 2 or 3 iconic waterfalls, including Looking Glass Falls. Professional guides certified in Wilderness First Aid lead the group, handling all navigation while sharing insights on local ecology and history. The $135 per person cost covers the guide, snacks, and the use of technical gear like trekking poles and daypacks if needed. The excursion runs on Sundays, starting at 8:30 a.m. and returning by 1:30/2 p.m., making for an adventurous morning.

This tour includes a local guide from Blue Ridge Hiking Co. and round-trip transportation from the downtown meeting point, along with trail snacks and the use of trekking poles and daypacks at no extra charge.

What's Not Included:

​Personal gear beyond what is provided, meals, gratuities.

Cancellation Policy: We conduct hikes in various weather conditions, with the exception of severe weather events (flooding, lightning, ice), in which case we offer the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. Our standard policy includes a 15% non-refundable administrative fee. We extend one complimentary rescheduling opportunity. Cancellations submitted more than seven days in advance receive a refund less the 15% fee. Cancellations within seven days qualify for a 50% refund. For cancellations within 48 hours, refunds are issued only in the event of severe weather-related cancellations by our team.

This adventure is in partnership with Blue Ridge Hiking Company, Asheville's original premier guide service. This gives us access to special use permits for trails in Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other protected areas.
