Join us for a guided Nighttime Forest and Fireflies Hike through the Blue Ridge Mountains. This adventure is perfect for nature enthusiasts, families, and hikers of all experience levels. From late May through July, when fireflies are most active, you'll venture into the forest after sunset to witness the bioluminescence of these remarkable creatures. Our expert guides will lead you through the rich biodiversity of the Appalachian forest, explaining the science behind firefly bioluminescence and sharing the area's natural history. We hike at a relaxed pace, giving you time to connect with the forest's nighttime world and experience a rare natural phenomenon that few get to witness.

Cancellation Policy

Full payment is required at booking and secures your spot. Trips require a minimum of 2 participants and are capped at 6. The experience includes a professional guide, round-trip transportation from Asheville, snacks, red-light headlamp, and guided night hike. Closed-toe shoes are required; long pants and warm layers are encouraged. Photography and videography are not permitted to protect firefly habitat. Cancellations more than 7 days out receive a full refund minus 15% fee; within 7 days receive 50% refund; within 48 hours receive no refund. One free reschedule is allowed with 7 days notice. We may cancel due to weather, safety concerns, or insufficient participants, in which case you'll receive a full refund or trip credit. Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain in low light and assume inherent outdoor risks. Gratuities are not included.
