Solo Traveler Group Trips
Most of our guests sign up alone, and our trips are structured to make that easy. We skip the "exclusive" vibe and focus on building a grounded community of people who simply want to get outside. Whether you’ve just moved to a new city or are traveling solo internationally, these trips provide a safe, straightforward way to hit the trails without having to plan the logistics yourself.
Building Community Across Global Destinations
Our group trips range from short local outings to multi-day expeditions. You can join a Half Day Pisgah Waterfall Hiking Tour to meet neighbors in North Carolina, or head to the West Coast for Women’s Beginner Backpacking near Portland, OR. For those looking for a bigger commitment, the 8-Day Oaxaca Women's Adventure or the creative Women Write in the Wild! near Asheville, NC are great ways to connect with others who value land conservation and adventure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a "single supplement" fee for solo travelers?
A: We don't believe in penalizing solo travelers. Most of our trips involve shared accommodations (like tents or lodges), so you pay the same rate as everyone else.
Q: Will I be the only person showing up alone?
A: Rarely. About 80% of our participants on Asheville Hiking for New Residents and our international treks sign up solo. You’ll be in good company!
