Virtual Classroom
Our virtual classroom is designed to give you a head start before you ever set foot on a trailhead. We believe that being prepared is the best way to enjoy the outdoors, so we’ve moved the "lecture" part of our trips online. This allows you to learn gear mechanics, navigation, and planning from the comfort of your home, so when we meet for a hike, we can focus entirely on the experience.
Digital Prep for Real-World Adventures
The cornerstone of our online offerings is the Online Intro to Backpacking Class. This course covers everything from how to fit a pack to how to filter water and plan a backcountry menu. It’s the perfect prerequisite for our Intro to Backpacking near Asheville, NC or any of our Multi-Day Hiking Trips. By handling the technical details in a digital setting, you can ask all your "beginner" questions in a stress-free environment, ensuring you show up to your first trip feeling ready and informed.
